The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni has said that the present administration would create more robust partnership with professional bodies like Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in the areas of training, policy formulation and innovation in personnel management.
She stated this during a Familiarization/interactive meeting of members of the institute held at the HOS conference room, Secretariat, Ibadan.
She said the State Government and the CIPM partnership would foster collaboration, capacity development and sustained engagement within the public service space, hinting that, the institute plays a critical role in shaping the workforce, maintaining discipline and driving productivity across the Civil/Public Service.
Mrs. Oni said “I want to use this medium to congratulate the newly inducted members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in the Oyo State Civil/Public Service, it is heart warming to see members of staff from various cadres like Medical Officers/Consultant, State Counsel, Accountants showing interest and embracing certification as human resources management professionals, this is commendable and a welcome development”.
She enjoined interested members of staff especially in the senior and management grades to enroll with the institute as soon as possible.
The Head of Service pointed out that the present administration in the State under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde recognize the invaluable contribution of professional bodies to speedy realization of strategic agenda of the current Government and will continue to support initiatives that align with good governance and improved service delivery.
“I encourage all members to make the best use of the Pacesetter Chapter of the CIPM to be inaugurated soonest to share ideas, discuss challenges and provide solutions that will help advance our collective goals, the forum will present an opportunity for both the serving and retired officers to learn, mentor and to strengthen the bonds of unity within the State”.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Sunday Ojelabi added that the partnership would create platform for interactive, collaboration and mutual understanding among members.
The Chairman of the Institute, Mrs. Lara Onipede commended the State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni for her efforts which culminated into the success story recorded in the Oyo State Civil/Public Service which gave birth to Pacesetter CIPM chapter.
