Oyo HOS Applauds Makinde For Approving payment of 100% Gratuity For Retired HLA’s

The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving payment of 100 Percent Gratuity to all retired Heads of Local Government Administration in the State.

She stated this during the celebration  programme in honour of  the retired Heads of Local Government Administration held  at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

HOS  charged Civil Servants across the State to imbibe the culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability in the discharge of their duties.

The Head of Service, admonished Civil Servants to draw inspiration from the exemplary leadership demonstrated by the retirees and strive to emulate their dedication and passion for service.

Oni further appreciated  Governor Makinde for approving upward review of salary of the serving heads of the local government administration in all the Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas.

She explained that the commitment and dogged determination of the present administration to the security of life and property through prompt release of security funds to the Local Government Councils and provision of security vehicles for the security agencies in the State.

She said: “Let us reaffirm the need for a commitment to upholding the values of transparency, accountability and good governance, where we will all work towards building a future in which every citizen of Oyo State can thrive and prosper”.

“I will like to appreciate the unparalleled gesture of Governor Seyi Makinde in approving payment of 100 percent gratuity to retired Heads of Local Government Administration in the State”.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Deacon Taiwo Adewale commended the State Government for prioritizing the Local Government Staff welfare in the State.

Oyo HOS Urges Civil Servants to be Dedicated to Duty

The State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni has charged Civil Servants across the Ministries, Departments and Agencies to be Dedicated to their duty.

She stated this during an interactive meeting with the Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Departments and Agencies held at House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan.

She charged the Permanent Secretaries across the (MDAs) to come up with a proposal that would improve the Internal Generated Revenue of the State Government for accelerated development.

The Head of Service admonished the Permanent Secretaries to  encourage their subordinates to do their work diligently and monitor them to stay in their duty post.

She urged Civil/Public Servants across the (MDA’s) to make use of the facilities inside the office of the Head of Service library, saying that, learning is a continuous process.

She said “always work on your subordinates to be more proactive in discharging their duties and stay on their duty post, the purpose of dedication to duty is service delivery”.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Joel Ajagbe said Oyo State Civil Servants are one of the best in Nigeria, hinting that, despite the dwindling economy, Civil Servants are still loyal to the State Government.

Makinde Award As Best Governor of Year 2023 Make Us Proud – Oyo HOS.

The Forum of Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, and other heads of MDAs on Tuesday congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State. Engr, Seyi Makinde, on his Award of Excellence as the best Governor of the year 2023 from one of the leading newspapers in Nigeria.

In a statement issued and signed by the Chairman of the forum, the Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni mni said Governor Seyi Makinde had performed creditable well in the last four and half years of his administration.

The statement said Governor Makinde is running a people centric government, a Government that benefits all and sundry in the State irrespective of the political affiliations.

The Accounting Officers of the Ministries Departments and Agencies unanimously stated that in this troubled time Governor Makinde slashed the price of the public transportation by 50 percent which made the movement of the people from one place to another easy for the people of the State.

The forum rose from their meeting at the House of Chiefs Secretariat, Ibadan, where they aligned themselves with the position of the Leadership Newspaper that Governor Makinde is the Governor of the year 2023 without fear or favor.

“Regular payment of salaries and allowances of the civil servants, payment of pensions and gratuity, ditto leave bonus and increment of car and housing loan  for Civil/Public Servants, his security architecture, fund management  and above all the infrastructural projects across the State is commendable”.

The forum in their statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital maintained further that security architecture of the State across the Seven Geo-Political Zones of the State is worthy of emulation, hinting that, there was peace and tranquility in the pacesetter State since assumption of office  Engr Seyi Makinde led administration in Oyo State.

“We are all living witnesses, Governor Makinde has been able to connect all the zones in the State with good road networks. Through the Moniya-Iseyin road, Ibadan zone has been connected to the Oke-Ogun zone; through the Oyo-Iseyin road, Oyo zone has been linked to Oke-Ogun zone; through the ongoing Ogbomoso-Fapote-Iseyin road, Ogbomoso zone is being linked to Oke-Ogun zone; and through the Ido-Eruwa road, Ibadan zone is linked to Ibarapa zone”.

“On behalf of the Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries.
